Meet Carol Richardson

Carol Richardson

Carol’s whole working career has been in education. She was an English and History teacher for 12 years in South Western Sydney.

Her career then included five years as a consultant to the NSW Education Department in Careers and Vocational Education, ten years as the CEO of a small not-for-profit community organisation, which specialised in career support and workplacements for high school students and four years at Western Sydney University, working in career support for university students and supporting high school students to transition to university.

Her final working years were back at school at Prairiewood High School in SW Sydney as the Executive Assistant. She has always enjoyed helping young people to learn, develop and achieve their aspirations.

Now, retired and living in Umina, Carol volunteers with Umina Community Group as part of the Dunecare team, who help to restore the dunes at our local beach access points, helps her husband to edit and market his novels and loves looking after her grandsons and occasionally has time to go to the beach and read a good book!
